Two agreements were signed that seek to strengthen the relationship between the municipality of Villa Gobernador Gálvez and the public university.
La Universidad Nacional de Rosario and the Municipality of Villa Gobernador Gálvez signed an agreement to work on multiple actions together and in this way strengthen the presence of the UNR in this town.
“We believe that the University fulfills its mission well, not only when it trains professionals of excellence, but above all when it assumes the commitment it must have with Rosario and its region. And this is one more example,” explained rector Franco Bartolacci.
The Rector recalled that for some time now efforts have been made to make the University present in different municipalities and communes of the Province. “We are putting all our resources to extend the proposals for Seniors and the School of Trades, which is a device that is having increasingly present in all the municipalities and communes of the south of the Province of Santa Fe", and added that it is necessary to be able to "return the effort that society makes to support an institution like ours, and also in this context, in this "Particularly delicate year that we are going through, to thank the commitment that the society of the Province of Santa Fe has shown in the defense of the Public University."
The mayor of Villa Gobernador Gálvez, Alberto Ricci, highlighted the crucial importance of intensifying and strengthening joint actions between the various entities and actors involved. “In these most difficult times is when we have to be most united and be able to work together for the well-being of the students and the population in general. We have been sharing projects since day one with the University, in many areas and I believe that this is the way to continue enhancing all our virtues.”

In addition, a specific agreement was signed with the UNR Faculty of Agrarian Sciences to implement a Management Plan for the Natural Reserve of said town.
"Today we take an important step, we signed an agreement that will enable us to contribute to the Management Plan of this reserve, with contributions from the Environmental Area of the University and the Faculty of Agrarian Sciences," highlighted the Rector, who added that this is “an action that represents a significant step in the preservation and sustainable management of this valuable natural space.”
The Management Plan stands as the main strategic planning instrument for the reserve. This fundamental document contains the necessary guidelines that will guide the management and administration of the protected area, ensuring that the ecological, cultural and recreational values of the site are maintained. In addition, the Plan establishes the procedures for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of the implemented actions, guaranteeing constant adaptation to the needs of conservation and sustainable use of the environment.
“We have a very important nature reserve, which we protect and take great care of. It is a space of one hundred hectares that we seek to add value to the community of the region, and I believe that being able to count on the contribution of the Faculty of Agrarian Sciences is essential to achieve our objectives,” commented Ricci.

The implementation of the Management Plan is not only crucial for informed decision making, but also serves as the basis for the formulation of the annual operational plan. In this way, coherent and efficient management is ensured that promotes the conservation of biodiversity, environmental education and the responsible enjoyment of the reserve by the community.
Present on behalf of the Municipality of Villa Gobernador Gálvez were the Secretary of Government, Victoria Culasso; the Secretary of Health and Environment, Alejandra Ratti; the Secretary of Human Development and Public Policies, Maximiliano Bontempi. In addition, Councilor Esteban Lenci and the Secretary of Biodiversity of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of the Province of Santa Fe Alejandro Luciani were participating.
On behalf of the UNR, there was the Dean of Agrarian Sciences Pablo Palazzesi, the Vice Dean Santiago Dearma, the Secretary of Environmental Policy Matias De Bueno, and the Director of the Environmental Observatory Graciela Klekailo.
The signing of this agreement symbolizes a joint commitment between the University and the local government to work on the protection and care of the environment, promoting inter-institutional collaboration and the development of initiatives that benefit both nature and society. The Villa Gobernador Gálvez Natural Reserve, with its biological wealth and its value as a space for recreation and learning, will be strengthened by this alliance, which seeks to ensure its preservation for present and future generations.
