La Universidad Nacional de Rosario signed a Agreement with the Commune of Mussomeli, Italy, with the objective of summoning health professionals graduated from the UNR, interested in working in that European country.

Although Mussomeli, located in the central region of Sicily, offers vacancies for twenty-three medical specialists and surgeons graduated from our university, the call seeks to identify Medical Science graduates who can fill other available positions throughout Sicily.

The required specialties are: emergency physicians, anesthetists, surgeons, internists, pediatricians, psychiatrists, gynecologists, orthopedists, radiologists, and specialists in prevention and hygiene. In order to apply, in addition to being a UNR graduate, those interested must meet specific requirements that can be found in the annexes attached to this note.

As of February 7, 2022, and through online forms enabled for this purpose on the university website, the UNR will receive the applications and supporting documentation that certifies the suitability of the applicants. Then, the final selection and hiring of professionals whose qualification has been recognized by the Ministry of Health of the Italian state, will be in charge of the Municipality of Mussomeli.

The selected health professionals must present, with the technical assistance of the Commune of Mussomeli, the necessary procedures for the recognition of the professional health qualification obtained in a non-EU country, in order to practice the profession in Italy. It should be noted that the UNR does not assume labor, contractual, or any other type of responsibility regarding the health professionals who register and/or are selected, and both the translation of the documentation into Italian and the airfare are the responsibility of the selected.

The call, the only one of its kind, recognizes the quality and hierarchy of the academic training of the doctors graduated from our university.

Finally, in the signed agreement, the municipality of Mussomeli commits itself to Argentine doctors who wish to move to: the organization of linguistic literacy courses in Italian and logistical assistance (search and identification of housing).
