UNR hosts this meeting, which brings together national and international professionals.
La Universidad Nacional de Rosario It hosts the prestigious Multidisciplinary Dentistry Congress, a meeting that brings together leading professionals and specialists from around the world.
This conference is being held within the framework of the 25th anniversary of the Periodontics Specialization Program at the UNR School of Dentistry, a leading educational program in academic training, scientific commitment, and clinical excellence.
The event will take place on October 8 and 9 at the Bioceres Arena and will cover the latest topics in dentistry: implants, orthodontics, regeneration, photography, periodontics, digital design, prosthetics, and plastic surgery.
“I want to thank everyone who made this meeting possible, as well as the speakers, who came from all over the world with great commitment to be here today. It's also necessary to recognize the community that the Faculty of Dentistry has, whose tremendous commitment makes things like this possible,” explained Rector Bartolacci, highlighting the work of Vice Rector Darío Masía: “In this endeavor, I have found him not only a very professional person, but also a great friend who has made the process more enjoyable in such a difficult context as the one we are currently experiencing.”

The Rector highlighted the specialization's progress over the past 25 years and emphasized the "will to continue working" to strengthen advanced training paths and raise the bar for excellence in public education. "And this is even more commendable in such a difficult economic situation, but even so, the University continues working in this direction and doing things to continue growing. That, as Rector, makes me proud, because the University's commitment to what society needs and its commitment to what it needs speaks highly of its community."
Finally, he reflected on the value of knowledge production, education, and training for the country's growth. "This is what all the world's developed countries are committed to, allocating more resources to higher education and science. This is what allows them to grow and develop. This is what we believe should be prioritized, especially to have a more serious country, and in this context of priorities, what must be safeguarded are the things that are good. It means, like nowhere else in the world, guaranteeing excellent training to every young person according to their desire, according to their vocation, no matter where they were born, no matter where they live. This is a tool that offers us the possibility of finding solutions to Argentina's problems."
The meeting brings together leading professionals and specialists from Mexico, Brazil, Uruguay, Peru, Chile, and Spain, who share their knowledge and experiences on the latest advances in various areas of dentistry.
The Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Claudia Lezcano, recalled the creation of the Specialization in Periodontics and the enormous institutional effort to sustain and improve this training path. “This program has grown stronger and more developed over time, which is important and symbolic for the development of other adult specialties. The profession is undergoing a period of transformation at a speed unthinkable a few decades ago, driven primarily by digital technology and a more holistic and preventative approach to health. We are transitioning from a model focused on repair to one focused on prevention, prediction, personalized treatment, and minimal intervention.”

Lezcano commented that this meeting aims to transform the presentations into a "think tank" and position itself as a space for collaboration. "The topics have been carefully proposed based on the scientific and technological advances that constitute the foundation of current progress, sharpening the efficiency of oral rehabilitation with the goal of improving our patients' experiences."
In addition, there will be academic and integration activities, continuing education programs, and cutting-edge professional development opportunities, reaffirming the Faculty of Dentistry's commitment to continuing education and innovation in the dental field.
