With the aim of improving the conditions for waiting, getting on and off public transport, the bus lines will once again access the Ciudad Universitaria.
La Universidad Nacional de Rosario This coming Monday, the construction of a 50-meter dock that will be located within the premises of the Rosario University City (CUR) begins with the objective of facilitating the safe use of public transportation for some twenty thousand people who attend the faculties and schools each day. research institutes located in Siberia.
“On Monday we will begin this work, already tendered and awarded, which will guarantee better habitability, transit and security conditions for students, teachers and non-teachers in Siberia. It is an investment of 50 million that will be built with resistant concrete and will have special accesses at the height of the transport units. It will be covered, with special LED lighting, it will have seats, security cameras and specific signage”, explained the rector Franco Bartolacci
The location of the dock will be specified within the framework of the CUR Urbanization Plan and with the aim of improving the waiting, boarding and alighting conditions of passengers arriving on the bus lines to the university campus.
“For our community it is a very important and necessary work, substantial to guarantee better conditions of habitability, transit and security to those who daily attend work or carry out academic activities in Siberia. This intervention will allow more comfortable and safer access, better connectivity. Guaranteeing that for us is a priority”, said Bartolacci.
The new bus stop, which will allow public transport to re-enter Siberia after many years, will be financed with the UNR's own funds and will be located within the property parallel to the currently existing platform and connected to Berutti street, which will soon become Avenida de la Universidad, a two-way road that will link 27 de Febrero with Cochabamba and will be part of the renewed urbanization of the area. Construction begins next Monday.
Avenida de la Universidad, currently under construction, will have an extension of 1200 meters, will include bike paths, wide sidewalks, forestation and LED lighting, recovering the connection with the ravine to the river and allowing new road access to the area.
