Registration for the Diploma in Literacy Practices in Non-Formal Literacy Programs for adults will be open until March 31
This Diploma is an undergraduate training in literacy practices in non-formal literacy programs for adults (CS Resolution No. 591/02021), which began to be taught in 2022 and is now in its second year of activity. The direction is in charge of Dr. Mónica Baez, being a joint project between the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies and the Area of Extension and Territory.
This training arises from the need to contribute to reverse or reduce the effects of the persistence of a high number of young people and adults in a situation of illiteracy or iletricism. The problem is focused in our region particularly on people living in vulnerable sectors. Given the UNR's commitment to social demands such as the one addressed in this Diploma, the course of the same is free.
It is aimed at teachers and people who have an interest or experience in the field of youth and adult literacy. The mode of dictation is blended, with virtual theoretical classes on Tuesdays from 18 to 20pm y obligatory practices in territory from the second quarter. Registration is open until March 31 and the course begins on Tuesday, April 11.
During the first four-month period, the program introduces itself to the challenges of reading and writing, taking a tour, initially theoretical, of both the systems, social practices and learning around reading and writing, as well as the territory and sectors where the practices will be applied. adult literacy. Already in the second quarter, after the winter break, they will begin to carry out theoretical-practical practices in the territory, accompanied by tutors, articulating with organizations and spaces where, from the Extension Area, the need for literacy processes has been detected in adults. There, the space for practice and creation and implementation of literacy workshops will be recognized according to the people and groups that attend it.
