Second edition of the guided tours of the Sites of Memory of the city of Rosario
From the Human Rights Area of our University in conjunction with the Human Rights Secretariat of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, the Human Rights Area of the Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Design and the Vamos a Los Juicios Program, we invite you to participate of the second edition of the guided tours of the Sites of Memory of our city.
The first visit will be at the former CCDyE – Information Service, located at Dorrego 624, on Tuesday, August 22 at 15:2000 p.m. This place was the largest Clandestine Detention and Extermination Center in the region that operated under the orbit of the Second Corps of the Army. It is estimated that around XNUMX people were kidnapped there, some of them pregnant, who were persecuted and persecuted for their political, social and student militancy.
Then, on Thursday, September 14 at 17:450 p.m., there will be a tour of the Constancio C. Vigil Popular Library at Gaboto 35. This Site of Memory is an organization recovered by the struggle of neighbors, associates, former students, and former managers. After 2013 years of impunity, indifference and cultural emptying initiated by the de facto civic-military government, in XNUMX the restitution by donation to its legitimate owners was ordered.
The final visit will take place on Wednesday, October 4th at 14 PM at the Rosario Museum of Memory, located at Córdoba 2019. This space, in the mid-60s, became the headquarters of the II Army Corps Command and was the bureaucratic and operational base of military power.
