The 30th Young Researchers Conference was held from October 11 to 13 at the National University of Asunción, Paraguay

A delegation of 20 researchers from the different Faculties represented the Universidad Nacional de Rosario at the 30th edition of the Young Researchers Conference of the Association of Montevideo Group Universities. In them, more than 600 young people united by science, research and socio-environmental commitment shared their research work with peers from public management universities in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. On this occasion, the motto was “Scientific and technological research for sustainable development”.

The meeting was structured contemplating various activities that included the provision of collaborative work tables, the exhibition and defense of posters and oral presentations of the research results, the delivery of workshops for the participants and the exchange of good practices between managers who coordinated the respective delegations, as well as activities aimed at integration and the construction of regional citizenship. 

Likewise, meetings of some of the Disciplinary Nuclei and Academic Committees took place, in which our representatives Rosana Rotondo, coordinator of the Agri-Food Academic Committee, Anibal Faccendini, representative of the Academic Committee of Water and Elisa Bolatti with Germán Perez who make up the Nucleus, were present. Disciplinary of Molecular Virology. Those who also collaborated with the quality demands that characterize the sessions, by serving as part of the body of evaluators in their respective disciplinary areas. 

In increasingly complex contexts at a global level and for our countries, once again the UNR renews its commitment as a public university in the construction of an endogenous knowledge agenda, through the promotion of new scientific vocations and the training of future leaders consubstantiated with democratic values ​​and comprehensive and sustainable development.  

The AUGM-UNR office congratulates those who represented the Universidad Nacional de Rosario with work of the highest quality, especially the distinctions obtained.

Those honored are: Franco Ciallella, Faculty of Political Science and International Relations with two mentions: Best oral presentation and best poster by undergraduate students in Associative and Cooperative Processes (PROCOAS); Ana Belén Breso, Faculty of Agrarian Sciences: Best poster presentation by graduate students in Energy; Julieta García Rey and Luciano Civerchia, Faculty of Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences: Best poster presentations by undergraduate students in Molecular Virology.

At the closing ceremony, in addition to the presentation of distinctions, the University of the Republic, Uruguay was presented as the venue for the 31st edition of the Young Researchers Conference.
