The State University of São Paulo offers 5 places in the free Portuguese as a Foreign Language course for AUGM Universities.
The Universidade Estadual Paulista “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” (UNESP), through its Assessoria de Relações Externas, offers member universities of the Association of Universities Group Montevideo (AUGM) places to participate in the online Portuguese Foreign Language Course (PLE).
The course will be delivered online and asynchronously, with weekly synchronous sessions, between September and December 2026, for a total of 60 hours. Digital tools and platforms such as Google Meet and Google Classroom, among others, will be used throughout the course. It will be coordinated by Professor Nildicéia Aparecida Rocha.
Participation will be free and those who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate issued by UNESP, in accordance with the conditions established by the organizing institution.
The call for applications includes two levels:
Basic Portuguese: an introductory course for speakers of languages related to Portuguese. It will cover basic language structures, pronunciation, vocabulary, and everyday communication situations, with special attention to the use of the language in academic contexts.
Intermediate Portuguese: focused on developing academic writing skills in Portuguese.
Within the framework of this call, the National University of Rosario has five places available , which will be allocated to undergraduate students, distributed as follows:
- 3 places for the Basic Portuguese level
- 2 places for the Intermediate Portuguese level
Participation requires institutional nomination from the home university , so interested students should apply through the International Relations Office (ORI) of their Academic Unit. It is recommended to check closing dates with each ORI.
The required documentation is:
- Photocopy of DNI
- Abbreviated Curriculum Vitae
- Regular student certificate
- Academic transcript with average and percentage of completion. This document can be obtained through SIU Guaraní, at Procedures > Request certificates and transcripts > Request Academic Transcript with regularized requirements
- For those applying for the Intermediate level, a certificate that accredits knowledge corresponding to the Basic level.
