The Mercociudades Network and the Montevideo Group Universities Association (AUGM), together with the National University of Córdoba and the Municipality of Córdoba, invite local governments and public universities from South America to participate in the 18th Meeting of Cities and Universities, which will be held in person on September 19 and 2025, XNUMX, in the city of Córdoba, Argentina.

under the motto “Universities and Cities Collaborating for a More Sustainable Future”The event seeks to promote the exchange of ideas, experiences, and best practices in socio-educational, cultural, and scientific-technological engagement between universities and local governments. The objective is to generate concrete solutions to social, environmental, cultural, and productive problems, strengthening sustainable development in the regions.

The call is open to best practice projects developed jointly by public universities and local governments in Mercociudades member countries. Proposals must be aligned with one of the nine defined thematic axes, such as local development, education, social inclusion, environmental sustainability, public innovation, among others. The selected projects will be presented during the meeting and will be included in the Best Practices Bank of the City-University Cooperation Observatory.

Applications may be submitted from June 4th to July 21st, 2025, and must be submitted exclusively through this form. formThe results will be announced on August 19, 2025. Universidad Nacional de Rosario will finance the transfer of one person in charge per selected proposal.
