Exhibition: “Malvinas in Images”
History, Post-war, Returns
Opening: Friday, April 10, 09:00 a.m.
Research, script and curatorship: Darío G. Barriera (ISHIR, CONICET, UNR), Mila Kobryn (UNR) and Milena Orayen (UNR).
This is not merely a collection of photographs. It offers graphic reproductions of maps, historical texts, and archival documents used for scientific research on the history of our archipelago. The exhibition begins with 16th-century maps, continues with documents from the 18th and 19th centuries, proceeds with pages from old navigation logs, and includes a flight logbook from a veteran of the Falklands War. It concludes with reproductions of objects and personal photographs provided by members of the Rosario Center for Ex-Combatants of the Falklands War.
The journey holds some surprises and, of course, excitement. Anyone who wants to explore can do so on their own or join one of the guided tours offered throughout the month.
