About the sample
The invention of gesture
We are time. We are the famous.
parable of Heraclitus the Obscure…
We are the vain, predetermined river,
heading towards its sea…
And yet something remains.
Jorge Luis Borges
An ephemeral gesture solidifies. Delia reigns in different materials; her gesture ranges from dripping and large brushstrokes to subtle lines.
In other works his ideas become tangible in different working methods, cutting sandpaper, nailing wood, overlapping planes.
A palette of ochre colors adorns his work. And there are some key pieces that are his life. Experimenting time and again, his gesture has the power to produce several series that speak to us beyond their composition, colors, and brilliance—their own diamond dust—and move us with their constant search for new worlds.
Hinting at infinity
or symbolizing a womb
inside a ship.
Crossing with the waves of a river
time and time again, several works.
Figures that become lines,
and lines that become distorted.
Minimalist art in black and grays,
in broad strokes, like a stage set.
And chromatic games on rhythmic planes,
like a pop Greek triglyph,
with their femurs and canals.
And now, in 2026,
a layer of paint,
with metallic sparkles,
It reminds me of Gerhard Richter's capes,
But that doesn't matter,
because she's the one who's there.
