Conference: Thinking about the Falklands Today
Historical Perspectives and Contemporary Debates
On Friday, April 10, from 9 a.m. to 18 p.m., the achievements and shortcomings of the Malvinas research agenda in a broad sense will be presented for debate, from the appearance of the Islands in the first maps to the major research topics offered by the 1982 War. The same applies to works that focus on the period that began on June 15 of that year, that is, the different phases of the post-war period, the organization of veterans, their other battles, and the memory policies regarding the Malvinas.
This activity is organized by the Malvinas and South Atlantic Program, based at the Faculty of Humanities and Arts (UNR), by LAHISCO (Laboratory of Connected Histories) and LAPRODI (Laboratory of Production of Digital Objects) of ISHIR (CONICET-UNR).
It is at the University Cultural Space (ECU) with free admission, San Martín 750, Rosario).
