Destined to:
Graduates of the different careers of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario as well as graduates from other universities. The target audience is university-educated professionals interested in furthering their study and analysis of political economy, with an emphasis on Argentine economic history, financial analysis, and practical tools for their professional practice. The program is particularly aimed at those seeking practical tools for interpreting specific situations, with theoretical elements from the discipline of economics, from an interdisciplinary perspective with the fields of knowledge of the social sciences.

Online mode. The teaching of the course will be developed through the Moodle platform of the Virtual Campus of the UNR.

Foundation

The Diploma of advanced studies in Political Economy and history of the working class in Argentina, from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, has the main objective of offering training that develops a comprehensive perspective on the economy and society, strengthening and consolidating both theoretical and practical skills and abilities. It was developed as a proposal by the Argentine Center for Political Economy (CEPA), which has developed experience in training professional profiles for integration into the economic world of the public and private sectors.

As a differentiating and innovative element within the range of similar programs available, the graduates of this Diploma program offer a dual profile: on the one hand, the consolidation of theoretical approaches and debates regarding the economic discipline, particularly in Argentina; and on the other, the acquisition of practical elements for professional practice, such as case studies and/or current-sector analyses.

It is always very complex to find academic offerings that allow the possibility of handling information, data sources, official and private statistics and that at the same time articulate these practices with theoretical debates existing in the different careers offered by the Universidad Nacional de RosarioThe Diploma proposes an interdisciplinary approach, simultaneously driven by data work. In this way, it seeks to establish a cross-fertilization of knowledge and tools. At the same time, it aims to build a professional ethic anchored in scientific and methodological rigor with social commitment.

Added to this will be the ability to analyze and interpret the economic situation and the main variables that influence it. All of this is achieved as a result of the constant interaction between theoretical and empirical elements that ultimately converge to create a dual and highly competitive profile.
