Registration for the Online Postgraduate Course “Digital Image Analysis".

Academic unit: Faculty of Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Start of course: 29 April 2026.
Ending: June 5 2026.

Destined to: PhD students. Professionals who use image analysis in the development of their activities.

Online mode. The teaching of the course will be developed through the Moodle platform of the Virtual Campus of the UNR.

Foundation.
The course presents the basic concepts of image analysis, as well as the fundamental tools, methods and statistics to solve problems that ultimately lead to extracting useful or quantifiable information from images obtained by different methodologies and technologies, such as digital cameras, scanners. , microscopy, among others.
To this end, during the dictation, the student learns to:
– Analyze an image analysis problem and the methodology for its resolution.
– Use different computer applications to understand the acquisition and processing of color and monochrome images.
– Perform image enhancement procedures to correct background and noise problems, highlight edges of objects, and segment certain image features.
– Apply simple measurement tools to solve problems in morphometry, densitometry, counting and analysis of multiple objects.
– Record and edit macros to automate repetitive procedures.
