Concert. Jorge Garacotche at the ECU

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 7:00 PM, the band Canturbe will present the reissue of their album BONPLAND. The band consists of Jorge Garacotche (guitar, backing vocals, and vocals), Pablo Faragò (guitar), Alejandro Giusti (bass), and Gustavo Libutti (drums), along with guest musicians Rubén Rada on percussion, Emilio Valle on bass, José Ogivieki on keyboards, Norberto Minichilo on drums and percussion, and José de la Quimera on bandoneon. The concert will be held at the Espacio Cultural Universitario (ECU) at San Martín 750.

CD reissue of “Bonpland”, Canturbe, in 2026.
The labels Viajero Inmóvil, Mucha Madera, and Tino Music, in a long-awaited co-production, have released Canturbe's second album, "Bonpland," originally released in 1983. Riding the wave of the CD revival, they decided to release it in this format, in addition to the usual digital platforms. In this work, the band delves deeper into their urban music style, with a greater presence of tango influences, Río de la Plata sounds, and the progressive touches of their first album. According to historians, this album contains the first recording of a tango ("Soledad," by Gardel and Lepera) by an Argentine rock band. This edition also includes two bonus tracks from Canturbe's third album, "Clandestino," from 1985. "Bonpland" was recorded at Moebio Studios in Buenos Aires between June and July of 1983. Enrique Londaits was the artistic producer, and Roberto Aldonis was the recording engineer.
