Academic unit of origin: Faculty of Political Science and International Relations
Destined to: Professionals who have graduated from tertiary or university institutes, both public and private, with relevant ministerial recognition, and who have a tertiary degree in Journalism, Sports Journalism, Comprehensive and Sports Journalism, which includes basic technical training in the corresponding disciplinary areas.
The previously obtained degree must include basic technical training in the areas of Journalism and Communication. The approved study plan must have a minimum duration of three (3) years with a minimum workload of one thousand four hundred (1400) hours. Exceptionally, the acceptance of graduates from tertiary education belonging to other areas of journalism and communication will be the responsibility of the Academic Committee of the program, which will analyze each case in particular.

Duration
Two (2) and a half years or five (5) four-month periods.
Total workload: 1200 hours.
Foundation
The Complementary Curriculum Cycle for a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism provides access, through a distance learning modality, to a disciplinary career in Journalism for graduates of non-university higher education institutes trained in the discipline throughout the country. The program seeks to train professionals capable of working in different media with theoretical and practical solvency, with a critical attitude to investigate and produce high-quality content. Training in journalism must be oriented towards the continuous search for truth in the media processes of construction of meaning and to critically reflect on the technological and cultural changes implied by the convergence of media.
Online modality
The teaching of the course will be developed through the Moodle platform of the Virtual Campus of the UNR.
