There are six dining halls that offer four meals a day for the entire UNR community.

All the dining rooms of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario They reopened with the start of the academic year. It's worth noting that in 2025, nearly 900 meals were served between February and November, with affordable prices and options for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner, including traditional, vegetarian, and gluten-free alternatives.

Rector Franco Bartolacci emphasized the collective effort involved in maintaining affordable menu prices and stressed the importance of continuing to strengthen the cafeteria program. "We are making a great effort to sustain a policy that is very important to our community, which in many cases makes it possible for many people to continue their studies," he affirmed.

With the aim of collaborating with the university community (teachers, non-teachers and students), the Universidad Nacional de Rosario It has six dining halls, which offer lunch/dinner for 1800 pesos and breakfast/afternoon snack for 950 pesos for students, and a 4200-peso menu for faculty and staff. The meals are varied, change weekly, and include vegetarian and gluten-free options. All meals are supervised by university nutritionists.

The canteens that are in operation are the one in the University City, located in Berutti and Riobamba, the one for Veterinary Sciences in Casilda, the one for Agricultural Sciences in Zavalla, the one for the Health Area on the corner of Santa Fe and Ricchieri, the one for the Faculty of Exact Sciences, Engineering and Surveying in Pellegrini 250, and that of the Central Area in Córdoba 1917. During the month of February they will operate with reduced hours from 7.45:16 a.m. to 7.45 p.m., while in March they will return to their usual hours from 22:XNUMX a.m. to XNUMX p.m. .

“The UNR allocates a significant portion of its budget to further strengthen its University Dining Hall program. We want to ensure that our community can enjoy a healthy, delicious, and nutritious menu. Our goal is to have a university dining hall for each area of the UNR, and for these to be a meeting place for everyone,” explained Bartolacci.

Students who have already used the service in previous years will be able to continue accessing their account at comedores.unr.edu.ar to reserve the student menu.

Those who have not yet used it must present a current student enrollment certificate and ID to access it. In the case of students from UNR high schools, the process can be completed at any of the dining halls by presenting their student enrollment certificate.

Students entering in 2026 must register their user account to access the system, presenting proof of final registration (online pre-registration is not valid) and their national identity document (DNI). This process can be completed at any of the university dining halls. Meanwhile, faculty and staff must present their pay stub and DNI to register their user account.

In addition, over the past two years, work has been done to equip the cafeterias in various faculties, which also offer affordable menu options. Cafeterias have been opened in the faculties of Law, Psychology, Agricultural Sciences, Dentistry, Economics, Political Science and International Relations, as well as in the Higher School of Commerce.

“We are in a context where we are trying to protect what we have built, especially those things that are so relevant to the UNR community. For the second year in a row, we have a new record for pre-registrations to the University: until two years ago, we had an average of 20.000 new students per year, last year we jumped to 30.000, and this year we are already above 31.000, and the registration process is not yet over. This increase is partly due to the number of new degree programs we have launched with more modern formats, shorter programs, more closely linked to the educational expectations of young people today, but also to the needs of the job market,” commented the Rector, adding: “The UNR is undergoing a very significant transformation, I believe to the point that we are building a new university.”
