Pre-registration will be available in person on August 18 and 19. It will be from 10 a.m. to 17 p.m., and is first-come, first-served. Classes will begin in September.
The UNR School of Trades is now open for pre-registration for courses offered during the second semester. The courses will be held on August 18 and 19, from 10 a.m. to 17 p.m., at the University Cultural Center (San Martín 750).
More than 18 new courses will be offered in the second half of the year, five of them with double enrollment to expand available spaces. This decision was made based on the demand recorded during in-person registrations during the first semester. Furthermore, it was reported that more than 1300 people enrolled during that period were unemployed.
The objective of this device, which the UNR put into operation in 2021, is to provide socio-labor training tools based on short training cycles that generate skills and abilities for job insertion in the most diverse areas, regardless of the level of schooling. achieved by people who register.
Rector Franco Bartolacci emphasized that, during its first four and a half years of operation, the UNR School of Trades has already graduated more than 12 students. "Being able to implement this tool and effectively connect training proposals with the needs of the local and regional productive sector is not an easy task and often goes against the grain. We want the School to be a gateway to the University, a bridge to the world of work," he stated.
Furthermore, the Rector added that it is necessary to understand that there are other ways to navigate and inhabit the Public University., These aren't necessarily linked to the traditionally known forms. "The School of Trades was a dream we set for ourselves four years ago, and the fact that it's generating such a large following today is extraordinary. We continue working on more tools and mechanisms that will make the UNR more visible in every sense, and also enable those who can't yet access the public university."

The program offers socio-professional training through short courses designed to develop practical skills in various sectors, based on the demands of the productive infrastructure of Rosario and the region. Registration is open to all, with no prior education requirements.
The academic offer for this second semester includes the courses of Human Resources Assistant, Bioconstruction Assistant, Customer Service at the beach and gas station stores (introductory module / professional orientation workshop in the field), Administrative Accounting Assistant, Legal Assistant, Digital Communication for Entrepreneurs: use and management of AI tools, Computer Aided Design - SolidWorks, E-commerce (electronic commerce), Initial Excel, Fundamentals of Data Analytics, Social Media Management, Hygiene and Safety: applied industrial maintenance, 3D Printing, Introduction to Industrial Maintenance, Initial PLC, Electronic Music Production, CNC Lathe Programming and Simulation, and PC Technical Support - Advanced Level.
It should be noted that this call only applies to courses fully managed by the UNR, as other training programs are being offered simultaneously through various agreements with municipalities and communes in the south-central region of the Province of Santa Fe, with the Undersecretariat of Social Economy and the Employment Directorate of the Municipality of Rosario, the Stock Exchange, and other companies and cooperatives in the region, where approximately more than 1500 people are currently participating in the courses.
In this way, the University's School of Trades continues to reaffirm its commitment to the training of human resources that can be inserted into the world of work in Rosario, the Province of Santa Fe and the region. This new cycle not only consolidates its trajectory, but also expands its training proposal, opening new opportunities for those seeking to acquire practical skills and knowledge in various fields.

Registration method
To optimize the allocation of vacancies, pre-registration for the Trade School courses will be held in person on Monday, August 18th and Tuesday, August 19th, at the ECU. Those wishing to enroll must complete a registration form with their personal, socioeconomic, and employment information. In addition, a brief interview will be conducted for some courses to determine each applicant's interest.
This new pre-registration option requires that a person enroll in a discipline in addition to meeting the following requirements: be 18 years of age, available to attend on the scheduled days and times, and have digital tools for those courses that require them.
Placements will be assigned based on various priority criteria, such as employment status (formal or informal employment, unemployment), participation in previous editions of the Trade School, and other personal conditions, such as responsibility for caring for others.
This methodology, which was already implemented with registration at the beginning of the year, seeks to ensure more equitable access, avoiding the possibility of spaces being filled quickly through online registration. A waiting list will also be implemented to fill any vacancies that may become available. Attendance at the first two classes will be mandatory; in the event of absence, the spot will be reassigned to the next person on the waiting list.
