Ten years after its first edition, the Directorate of Technological Outreach of the Science, Technology, and Innovation for Development Area is launching a new call for proposals under the "Inclusive Outreach" program.

The main objective of this initiative is to promote technological linkage activities between the UNR academic community and regional stakeholders involved in production processes, thereby enhancing university capabilities for problem-solving by generating innovative responses and collaborative work mechanisms that contribute to the region's sustainable development.

This call for proposals is aligned with the institutional objectives outlined in the UNR 2030 Agenda, which highlights the need for dedicated lines of research to address strategic issues in the region and to establish mechanisms for engagement with regional stakeholders. The goal is to address these demands by promoting engagement projects that develop and validate scientific and technological knowledge in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

For all these reasons, this new edition promotes lines of work by UNR research teams that address interdisciplinary topics of relevance to the local and regional socio-productive sector, strengthen service delivery, promote the creation of strategic alliances, and enhance and develop new knowledge. For the first time, the UNR will fund this call with its own resources, totaling $75.000.000.

Applications may apply to one of three lines of financing:

1) Enhanced Capabilities for Providing Technology Services (MCST): The objective of this line is to improve and enhance the capabilities of UNR academic teams to provide technology services to third parties. Projects will be funded up to $5.000.000.

2) Technical Assistance to Municipalities and Communes (ATMC): The objective of this line is to support technological linkage processes between academic teams and government and socio-territorial actors involved in resolving issues related to the development of local and territorial capacities, through requests for technical assistance. Projects will be funded up to $2.000.000 and require the endorsement of at least one partner organization.

3) Initiation into Technology Linkage (IVT): The objective of this line is to encourage and support work teams that are new to technology linkage, whether through the implementation of activities or emerging proposals, and/or to provide training and deepening of the knowledge and skills of team members in technology linkage. Projects will be funded up to $1.500.000 and require the endorsement of at least one partner organization.

The call for project submissions will be open from July 1 to August 15, 2025. Proposals must be uploaded to SIGEVA.
